Roadster Flight is a free browser game at flytheroadster.com. This page explains what data the site uses and how to opt out.
Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and a few game events (game start, game over with score and section, share and tip clicks, secrets found). Google Analytics sets first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to tell visits apart. IP anonymization is requested. We do not send names, emails or other personal details.
Public counter
The title screen shows how many visitors and pilots the game has had. Your browser stores two flags in localStorage (rf_counted_visitor and rf_counted_player) so you are only counted once. These are not cookies and hold no ID. The server keeps only two totals. IP addresses are hashed in memory for rate limiting and never stored.
Local game data
Your settings, best score, high score table (three-letter initials you choose), secrets found and tutorial status are kept in your browser's localStorage under keys starting with rf_. They never leave your device. Clear your site data to remove them.
How to opt out
- Block Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The game works with all of them blocked, and offline.
